Myanmar passport holders need an electronic travel authorization (ETA) for Taiwan, obtained online before travel.
Entry requirements for Taiwan

| Exemption | Holders of Nationals of Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, the Philippines and Vietnam holding a valid resident/permanent resident card or valid visa (incl. e-visa), or one expired less than 10 years before arrival, issued by Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, a Schengen country, the UK or the US (exception: since 14 Sep 2023 Vietnamese nationals may no longer qualify with Japan- or Korea-issued documents): eta eligible, up to 30 days — Must obtain a free online R.O.C. Travel Authorization Certificate (niaspeedy.immigration.gov.tw) before travel; passport valid at least 6 months from arrival; onward/return ticket; never employed in Taiwan as a blue-collar worker; certificate valid 90 days with multiple entries, each stay up to 30 days; the qualifying document must be shown at immigration. Work permits do not qualify. Indonesian nationals holding a valid Japan Visa Waiver Registration are also eligible. Per NIA portal notice, Vietnamese passport holders using Japan/Korea-issued visas or resident certificates as the supporting document are no longer eligible (certificates approved on/before 14 Sep 2023 remained usable). |
